For this year Annual Miles For Moffitt Run/Walk, our lab was represented by Maureiq who run 5k race. Congratulations Maureiq!

 

2022 November 14th, Phebe Havor joined our lab as a graduate student for her second research rotation. Phebe received her MSc degree from the Department of Mathematics of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana.

A podium presentation: "Micro-pharmacology: a mathematical framework for testing the impact of tissue barriers on anti-cancer treatments" has been presented by Kasia Rejniak.

 

2022 September 8-11th, AACR Special Conference: Rethinking DCIS: an Opportunity for Prevention? Philadelphia, PA

A poster presentation: "Dynamics of fibril collagen remodeling in early DCIS invasions: integrating in silico modeling and tumor histology" has been presented by Kasia Rejniak.

 

2022 September 6th, Ana Forero Pinto joined our lab as a graduate student for her first research rotation. Ana received her MSc degree from the Physics Department of the Universidad Industrial de Santander in Colombia.

 

2022 August 19th, Dr. Kayode Olumoyin joined our lab as a postdoctoral fellow. Dr. Olumoyin received his PhD degree from the computational Sciences Program at the Middle Tennessee State University. He will work on bladder cancer patients' stratification for the T cell adoptive therapy treatment.

 

2022 July 29th, HIP-IMO Presentations during the Moffitt HIP-IMO Research Day.

McKenzie Williams working under Maureiq's mentoship has presented "Investigating Oxygenation within Bladder Tumor in Mice" during the Moffitt HIP-IMO Research Day. Great job!

A talk "Reconstructing the oxygenation landscape from histology images of solid tumors" will be presented by Maureiq Ojwang' as a part of a minisymposium "Recent Advantages in Cell- and Tissue-Scale Mathematical Modeling of Cancer" organized by Kasia Rejniak.
